Pet Grooming Waiver

By signing this waiver and leaving you pet(s) in the care of Prettypaws Pet Boutique and Spa (a division of 2609951 Ontario Limited) you understand that you are entering into a contract for the provision of grooming services – there is a cost associated with this service, and you agree to pay the total due in full promptly upon pickup. The base cost of grooming is $74/hour for dogs and $115/hour for cats and other animals plus HST. Additional fees may apply as described below. 

Dog Grooming: $74/hour+HST 

Cat Grooming $115/hour+HST

Additional Handling: $40/hour+HST in addition to base price

Matting Removal: $74/hour+HST in addition to base price

We are a flea free facility. If at any time during the groom your dog is found to have fleas the grooming will be discontinued and there will be an additional charge for clean-up. We reserve the right to discontinue service due to fleas. If service is discontinued, full fees are payable in full before rescheduling.

**Accident and Injury Waiver**

Grooming can be a dangerous activity. We are taking sharp instruments near your pets, and although we are proud of our safety record accidents can happen. In the event of an accident or injury we will promptly inform you. If your pet is in peril of loss of life or limb steps will be taken to secure the safety of your pet prior to contacting you. We are not responsible for any injury to your pet(s) and are not responsible for any costs arising from accident or injury before, during, and after your pet is in our care. We take every reasonable precaution as determined by our groomers to prevent injury but there is a risk inherent with the process. There is a heightened risk of skin, eye, or ear inflammation or irritation, allergic reaction, stiffness, soreness, etc., following a groom.

Geriatric pets carry an increased risk of soreness and negative grooming outcomes — risks include accident, injury, exhaustion and in very rare instances death. 

Sometimes grooming will make evident an underlying medical condition — we will make every effort to inform you of any conditions that we notice during the groom, but are not responsible for any costs arising from same. 

**MATTING WAIVER**

If your pet is matted it WILL be shaved. No excuses, no exceptions.

We do not brush out severely matted coats. Matting is painful for your pet and dangerous for their skin. An additional charge of $74/hour+HST in addition to the base price of your groom will apply for the removal of matting. This charge will be divided into fifteen minute increments. 

Matting can lead to bruises, cuts, hematoma and skin irritation once released — you are accepting responsibility for the condition of your dog and release Prettypaws of all liability for accident or injury of your pet. 

**MISSED APPOINTMENT POLICY**

1st Time No Show – 50% of estimated groom cost due. Mistakes happen… As a favour we are only charging you half. A card on file will be required for future appointments.

2nd Time No Show – 100% of estimated groom cost due. $74 deposit required on all future bookings. We missed seeing you but our team was ready and waiting.

3rd Time No Show – All outstanding fees are due and as much as we hate to say it maybe we aren’t the right groomers for you.
All fees are due before any appointment will be rebooked.

** LATE PICK UP POLICY ** 

We allow thirty (30) minutes after we notify you for you to arrive to pick up your pet(s). If for any reason you need more time than this it is important for you to notify us BEFORE your appointment. If you do not pick up your pet after 30 minutes a fee of $10.00+HST per 15 minutes ($40+HST/hour) will be billed and due upon pick up. We close at 4:30PM — pets left in our care past close will automatically incur a $100.00+HST charge in addition to $10 per 15 minutes of care unless arrangements are made in advance of your appointment. 

Please Note: The Municipality of Dysart et al DOES NOT allow us to provide daycare accommodation. Your pet must be picked up when they are finished being groomed. Please plan accordingly. 

By signing below you are certifying that you understand and agree to the policies and procedures above, and forever release Prettypaws and its operators and staff of all liability and responsibility for all potential accidents, injury, and death.
